Workforce Accelerator Fund 9.0 – RFA
Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN20-40
Issued: February 5, 2021
The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) and the Employment Development Department are pleased to announce the availability of up to $7.4 million in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funds to design, develop, and implement projects that accelerate employment and re-employment strategies for California job seekers.
Economically vulnerable workers and communities were significantly impacted by economic fallout caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, social justice movements signaled for change to address historic and prevalent economic inequities. As the state recovers from the pandemic, Accelerator 9.0 seeks to fund innovative approaches to improve job quality, create upward mobility, and bridge workforce programs to quality jobs for workers from disadvantaged or low-income communities in an effort to build a better California for All.
All applications must be received by 3 p.m. PT on Monday, March 1, 2021.
Interested applicants are encouraged to register for an Application Workshop scheduled for February 9, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
For more information about this funding opportunity and its requirements, refer to the Accelerator 9.0 Request for Applications on the CWDB’s Accelerator web page.
