Programs and Resources for Job Seekers
Experience Unlimited provides a place where job seekers can meet regularly with other career professionals to share job leads, provide support, and update their job search skills.
Learn more about layoff services the EDD offers such as Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, Rapid Response, and Work Sharing.
The Trade Adjustment Act program provides help to workers who lose their jobs, or their hours and wages are reduced, as a result of increased imports. This program offers a variety of benefits and re-employment services including training, job search allowances, and relocation allowances to help eligible individuals return to work.
If you are in one of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit “target groups,” an employer who hires you could receive a federal tax credit of up to $9,600. This tax credit may give the employer the incentive to hire you for the job.
