California employers can get no-cost help with hiring and training workers. This includes finding and screening job applicants, training employees, and setting up job fairs and workshops.
We also provide labor-market statistics and fidelity bonding.

Receive a federal tax credit for hiring qualified veterans.
The Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW) Outreach Program provides a full range of employment services to agricultural employers and migrant, seasonal, or migrant food-processing workers.
Learn more about the program services offered to MSFWs and how we help farmworkers who otherwise would not have access to services through the normal process within the AJCC network.
Employers may, under certain circumstances, bring foreign workers into the United States for permanent or temporary employment. Approval from several government entities is required. However, certain aspects of the approval process are coordinated by us.

Layoff requirements are directed by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). There are also layoff alternatives and a Work Sharing program for employers to consider.
Employers can take advantage of various tax incentives, including tax credits and deductions, to expand their businesses and accommodate new hires. Below are key programs available:
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)
- Employers can get up to $9,600 in tax credits for hiring people from certain groups.
- Disabled Access Credit:
- Small businesses can get up to $5,000 to help make their buildings and services accessible to people with disabilities. See IRS Form 8826 for details.
- Architectural and Transportation Tax Deduction:
- Businesses can deduct up to $15,000 per year for making buildings and transportation easier to use for people with disabilities and older adults.
