Current area Disability Insurance office will briefly suspend services to complete move
SACRAMENTO – Employment Development Department’s (EDD) Stockton area Disability Insurance (DI) office is scheduled to briefly suspend operations as it moves to a larger, centrally located facility to provide improved services and assistance to in-person customers. The old office will pause its customer service functions at the end of business on April 13, 2023, and resume at the new location on Monday, May 1, 2023.
The current Stockton DI Office, located at 3127 Transworld Drive, Suite 150, will be relocating to 31 East Channel Street, Suite 213, in Stockton, located approximately 8.1 miles away.
EDD is committed to working with partners and other stakeholders to minimize the impact on customers during this transition. Those in need of assistance with a Disability Insurance or Paid Family Leave claim have multiple options available including:
- The Department’s website at edd.ca.gov provides customers access to SDI information, forms, and other self-service options.
- SDI Online, the automated claims processing system, allows customers to file claims for DI and Paid Family Leave, access DI personal claim information, view DI payment history, and submit documentation. http://www.edd.ca.gov/Disability/SDI_Online.htm
- The DI automated phone information system at 1-800-480-3287 provides general DI and claim information and assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, toll-free. The number for information regarding Paid Family Leave benefits is 1-877-238-4873. In addition, staff are available from 8 m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on holidays.
Individuals who prefer to receive in-person services/assistance during the Stockton DI office’s 16-day pause in operations are free to visit the DI office in Sacramento at 5009 Broadway, or other alternate EDD DI office locations which can be found online office locator.
