Where to Get Training
- California Eligible Training Provider List: Find information on approved places that offer different types of training, including classes, online courses, and apprenticeships.
- Basic Training: Obtain your GED or improve your math, English, and reading skills.
- Vocational Training: Gain the skills needed for today’s in-demand jobs.
- On-the-Job Training: Receive training from an employer through job training programs or apprenticeships.
- If you are receiving Unemployment Insurance or if your benefits have run out, you might be able to get free training from the Employment Training Panel.
Special Programs to Help You
- Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA): The WIOA provides job training services and job opportunities for people of all ages. Visit your local AJCC to find out more.
- California Training Benefits: Check if you are eligible to receive training while continuing to get Unemployment Insurance.
- Trade Adjustment Assistance Act: Get help if you have lost your job or had your work hours reduced due to increased imports.
