More than half of Americans own or work for a small business. They create about two out of every three new jobs in the US each year.
According to California Office of the Small Business Advocate, in California:
- We have over 4.3 million small businesses operating in the state.
- They make up over 99 percent of total businesses. They employ almost 7.6 million people!
- More than 60,000 small businesses help export goods from California. Making up 42.3% of the state’s total exports!
