The Labor and Workforce Development Agency, the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) and the Employment Development Department are pleased to announce the availability of up to $130,000 in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds to select an agency to assess and evaluate the progress and impact of the CWDB’s Regional Plan Implementation (RPI)/Slingshot 3.0 investments. In addition, up to $180,000 in WIOA funds is available to select a technical assistance (TA) provider to offer training and TA to the Regional Planning Units (RPU) as they implement the regional plans and efforts funded by RPI 3.0.
The RPI 3.0 funds have been awarded to the 14 RPUs to support their efforts to develop regional leadership, and to organize regional industry leaders and workforce, education, and economic development partners to attain scale and impact. The RPI 3.0 TA provider and evaluation agency will work to support and evaluate these efforts.
Eligible applicants include public and not-for-profit organizations, academic institutions, and private for-profit businesses that meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the Request for Applications (RFA).
All applications are due Friday, February 21, 2020, by 3 p.m. PT.
