Experience Unlimited – For Job Seekers

Are you a professional looking for a job? Many skilled and motivated people are joining Experience Unlimited (EU) “job clubs” to find new work opportunities.

EU is available in some locations across California. These groups help professional, technical, and managerial job seekers connect and share job leads. Joining is free for both job seekers and employers.

What is EU?

EU is a free program where job seekers can meet with other professionals to share job leads, get support, and improve their job search skills.

Resources include:

• Workshops on job searches, resumes, interviews, and networking
• Resume reviews and mock interviews
• Networking opportunities
• Access to online job listings
• Resume posting on CalJOBS^SM
• Special events and guest speakers
• Access to computers, printers, copiers, phones, fax, and internet

Can I Become an EU Member?

Unemployed or underemployed people in a professional, managerial, or technical fields can join EU. Fields include:

• Education and Training
• Finance and Accounting
• Human Resources
• Information Technology
• Management
• Manufacturing
• Sales and Marketing
• Social Service
• Science and Engineering
• Software Development

Member Benefits

EU lets members take charge of their own job search. An Employment Development Department facilitator offers guidance while members look for job openings and interviews. Members also support each other by sharing advice and encouragement.

New members start with an orientation and can attend workshops on:

• How successful in your job search
• Resume writing
• Interview skills and techniques
