Pending Regulations: Your Right to Provide Feedback
A regulation is any rule, regulation, order, or standard adopted by a state agency to implement, interpret, or make specific the laws it enforces and administers. State agencies, including EDD, must comply with the rulemaking procedures and standards set forth in California’s Administrative Procedure Act (APA) in order to adopt a regulation.
As part of the APA’s rulemaking process, you have a right to provide feedback to us about our proposed regulations. Feedback must be provided through written comments and submitted within the APA’s permitted timeframe.
Submit Your Comments
Public comments received will be summarized and responded to in accordance with the APA. Our responses can be found in the Final Statement of Reasons of our rulemaking package that is submitted to the Office of Administrative Law for review. If you would like a copy of the Final Statement of Reasons, submit your request to the contact person listed in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
