Faster, Simpler, Better. Introducing Your New EDD Homepage
Published: July 10, 2025
When we started to design your EDD homepage, we listened to the people who matter most — you! Real user feedback helped us improve our menus and make the information you need easier to find. We’ve improved the homepage based on what you use — meaning fewer clicks to get where you need to go.
We listened to our customers to inform every decision. Research showed that our Claims menu option was not being used how we thought. Instead, we discovered more people wanted faster, direct access to information about our unemployment, disability, and Paid Family Leave benefit programs.
In response, we made our benefit programs prime real estate at the top of the homepage to take you right where you need to go. Now, you can find the information most relevant to you right away, without guesswork or extra steps.
We also added helpful drop-down menus to make finding information simpler and smoother than ever. Improvements to your new homepage follow improvements we made to our benefit webpages earlier this year. Our new step-by-step instructions guide you through each part of the benefit claim process. Each step is now easily accessible right from your EDD homepage. All of these updates prioritize a more mobile-friendly website recognizing that most customers visit us using their mobile phones.

- Ongoing Webpage Improvements: We’re not done yet, and we won’t be anytime soon. You will see more and more changes to our webpages in the future.
