DOR-AJCC Collaboration Launch
Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN25-03
Issued: August 8, 2025
The Employment Development Department (EDD), in coordination with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), will launch the DOR-AJCC Collaboration project in August 2025. This exciting initiative brings together Local Workforce Development Areas in partnership with their local DOR field offices to participate in a collaborative project that will enhance services to people with disabilities in America’s Job Centers of California (AJCCs).
Funded projects will work toward lasting systems change that results in increased collaboration between Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) Titles I and IV programs, and increased employment and career advancement for individuals with disabilities across California. Projects will conduct efforts to increase meaningful implementation of cross-training, co-enrollment and co-case management strategies between local DOR field offices and AJCCs. The selected organizations will participate in a state-level work group comprised of EDD and DOR stakeholders facilitated by Loyola Marymount University (LMU), the awarded Technical Assistance and Developmental Evaluation (TA/DE) provider.
The DOR-AJCC Collaboration project is funded by the WIOA Title IV: Vocational Rehabilitation Services at $18 million through an Interagency Agreement between the DOR and the EDD. Under the Interagency Agreement, the EDD administered two competitive solicitation processes that resulted in LMU’s selection as the TA/DE provider, and awarded 18 Local Workforce Development Areas to participate in the initiative; awards as follows:
