$17M Funding Opportunity to Support Homeless and at-risk Veterans

The US Department of Labor (DOL) announced the availability of $17 million in grant funding to support organizations that provide training and employment services to homeless veterans and veterans who are at risk of homelessness. Award recipients will be chosen to deliver workplace skills training, support participation in Registered Apprenticeship programs or other on-the-job training, and supply employment placement assistance.
Purpose of the Grant
Administered by the Department’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) seeks to reduce and prevent veterans’ homelessness by helping them overcome obstacles and successfully re-enter the workforce.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include state and local Workforce Development Boards; federally recognized Native American governments; Native American organizations; state agencies; for-profit entities and non-profit organizations, including community- and faith-based organizations; and public, state, and private institutions of higher education.
Funding Details
HVRP grants will provide each recipient up to $500,000 annually for up to $1.5 million over three years.

The closing date for receipt of applications is March 17, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. ET
