California’s unemployment rate went down for the month of April 2022 to 4.6 percent as the state’s employers added 41,400 nonfarm payroll jobs to the economy, according to data released today by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) from two surveys. March’s unemployment rate was revised down 0.1 percentage points to 4.8 percent largely due to a 6,000-person decrease in unemployment.
