State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES)

The State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES) is a safe and fast way for employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to get and respond to a Notice of Unemployment Insurance Claim Filed (DE 1101CZ) (PDF) online.

When a new Unemployment Insurance claim is filed, or when an existing claim is reopened, we send a Notice of Unemployment Insurance Claim Filed (DE 1101CZ) to employers. Employers provide information about why the person is no longer working for them. This helps determine if the person qualifies for benefits and makes sure the employer’s unemployment insurance reserve account is charged correctly.

  • Lets employers and TPAs upload supporting documents
  • Reduces incorrect payments

How to Participate in SIDES

  • SIDES E-Response: This is for employers and TPAs with a lower number of unemployment claims. No special programming or software is needed. Visit Subscribe to SIDES E-Response for more details.
  • SIDES Web Service: This is for employers and TPAs with a higher volume of unemployment claims, or who work in multiple states. This option needs the employer or TPA to work with us and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies to set up computer connections for SIDES. Visit How to Participate in SIDES Web Service for more information.

SIDES Technical Support
