Welcome to Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA)! If you’re getting unemployment benefits and received a RESEA Appointment Notice, this information is for you.

Guiding You Towards Employment Success

RESEA helps people on unemployment find jobs by connecting them with career resources. You were chosen because a career coach may be able to help you.

Our services give you access to job programs and training to improve your chances of getting hired. We offer:

  • Career counseling.
  • Help with job planning.
  • Information on job trends in your industry.

Starting Your Employment Journey

Your RESEA Appointment Notice includes:

  • Your appointment details.
  • What to do next.

Need help? Call the job center listed on your notice—we’re here to support you.

Virtual and In-Person Appointments

  • Most RESEA appointments are online (Zoom or Microsoft Teams).
  • We’ll contact you by phone and email with a link and instructions.
  • Want an in-person meeting? Call the job center to schedule one.
  • Need to reschedule? You can move your appointment within the same week by calling the job center listed on your notice.

Before Your Appointment

The following actions are required:

  • Watch the RESEA orientation video to get important information for your job search.
  • Log in to CalJOBSSM using your existing account. If you don’t have one, check your appointment notice for instructions.
  • Add or update your résumé in CalJOBS.
  • Complete the RESEA Questionnaire (PDF) and include your job search efforts from the past two weeks.

During Your Appointment

  • Share your job search efforts and talk about your progress and experiences.
  • Learn about reemployment services that match your needs.
  • Receive labor market information related to your career.
  • Find helpful resources and tools to improve your job search.
  • Explore training and reemployment programs to support your career goals.

After Your Appointment

  • Attend a required reemployment activity, such as a workshop or a meeting with our Workforce Services team.
  • Keep searching for jobs that match your goals.
  • Dive deeper into labor market information using our Labor Market Information Guide.
  • Reach out for support—we’re here to help you every step of the way.
