Statewide Survey of EDD Support for LWDBs and Career Service Providers

Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN26-10

Issued: August 25, 2026

The Employment Development Department (EDD) will soon conduct a statewide survey to gather feedback from Career Service Providers (CSPs) and Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs). This survey is part of the EDD’s ongoing effort to strengthen partnerships, improve coordination, and ensure that state and local workforce services effectively meet the needs of job seekers, employers, and communities across California. The survey will begin the week of August 31 and close on October 5.

In the coming days, LWDB Directors will receive an email from the EDD’s Survey and Applied Research Section (Survey@edd.ca.gov) with a link to participate in the survey. LWDB Directors are asked to forward this link to the CSPs that provide services within their local America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) locations. Gathering CSP feedback is essential to understanding how the EDD can better support front‑line service delivery and enhance alignment between state and local workforce efforts.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of statewide experiences, the EDD is aiming for a minimum of 90 percent participation from LWDBs and CSPs. Insights from this survey will directly inform the EDD’s continuous improvement efforts, including enhancements to technical assistance, communication, and support for local programs. The EDD appreciates your partnership and participation in this important statewide effort.
