Workforce Accelerator Fund 10 – Request for Applications

Workforce Services Information Notice

Issued: November 12, 2021

The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) and the Employment Development Department are pleased to announce the availability of up to $10,456,412 in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funds to design, develop, and implement projects that accelerate employment and re-employment strategies for California job seekers through the Workforce Accelerator Fund (WAF) 10 grant program.

As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis that fell hardest on the most vulnerable workers and communities, WAF 10 seeks to fund innovative approaches to improve job quality, create upward mobility, and bridge the gap between workforce programs and quality jobs for workers from disadvantaged or low-income communities in a continuing effort to build a better California for all.

Access the Cal-E-Grants portal and the WAF 10 application on the CWDBs Workforce Accelerator Fund webpage. All applications must be submitted through the Cal-E-Grants portal by 3 p.m. on December 20, 2021. Only applications submitted through the Cal-E-Grants portal will be considered.

Interested applicants are encouraged to register for the WAF 10 Application Workshop held on November 18, 2021. The registration deadline is November 16, 2021, by 5 p.m.
For more information about this funding opportunity and its requirements, please refer to the WAF 10 Request for Application (RFA) on the Workforce Accelerator Fund webpage.
