Final Program Year 2018 WIOA Annual Performance Report

Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN19-22

Issued: December 19, 2019

The final Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Annual Performance Report for program year (PY) 2018 has been published. This data set includes participant data for Title III Wagner-Peyser, Jobs for Veterans’ State Grant (JVSG), and the Title I Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs.

The WIOA has six primary indicators of performance: Employment Rate 2nd Quarter after Exit, Employment Rate 4th Quarter after Exit, Median Earnings, Credential Attainment, Measurable Skill Gains, and Effectiveness in Serving Employers. For PY 18, the data calculated by the Department of Labor (DOL) is now available at the state level, as well as by Local Workforce Development Area (Local Area).

While there may be discrepancies between the DOL Annual Report and the 9169 – Annual Report in CalJOBS, the Program Reporting and Analysis Unit validates and verifies that the numbers are within a 5% discrepancy.

The negotiated goals on the published Annual Reports are the negotiated goals at a State level. In order to review the negotiated goals by Local Area, please reference Workforce Services Directive State Level Performance Goals and Local Area Negotiations (WSD19-11).

The PY 18 WIOA Annual Performance Report is posted on the California Workforce Development Board’s website.
