Benefit Overpayment Services
A benefit overpayment is when you collect unemployment, disability, or Paid Family Leave benefits you are not eligible to receive. For more information about benefit overpayments and repayment options, visit Benefit Overpayments and Penalties.
Benefit Overpayment Services is a convenient and secure way to manage your overpayment online.
Enroll in Benefit Overpayment Services
To enroll in Benefit Overpayment Services, you first need to register for an account in Benefit Programs Online (BPO).
- Visit Benefit Programs Online.
- Select Log In or Register.
- Select Register.
After you’ve created your BPO account, log in to Benefit Programs Online and select Benefit Overpayments to begin enrolling in Benefit Overpayment Services.
Important: To enroll in Benefit Overpayment Services, you need your:
- Claimant ID
- Letter ID
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
Your Letter ID and Claimant ID can be found on the Benefit Overpayment Collection Notice (DE 8344JUDR), mailed 30 days after we mail the Notice of Overpayment or Notice of Denial of Benefits and Overpayment, or when an appeal is denied.
Your Claimant ID and Letter ID are also included on the Benefit Overpayment Statement of Amount Due (DE 8301R) and the Final Collection Notice (DE 138).
Payments
In Benefit Overpayment Services, you can make a payment, view past payments, and set up an installment agreement to make monthly payments.
- Log in to Benefit Programs Online.
- Select Benefit Overpayments.
- Select Make a Payment.
- Select payment method type (such as ACH Debit).
- Complete the required fields, then select Submit.
- Log in to Benefit Programs Online.
- Select Benefit Overpayments.
- Select View My Payments.
- Log in to Benefit Programs Online.
- Select Benefit Overpayments.
- Select Set up an Installment Agreement.
- Review the Installment Agreement Requirements, then select Next.
- Complete the required fields, then select Submit.
