Conscientious Objection Based on Religious, Ethical, Moral, or Philosophical Beliefs

Use Section 1256, VQ 90, and appropriate letter.

I. DISQUALIFICATION

A. Admittedly No "Sincerely Held Religious Belief"

You quit your last job with (employer name) because of your beliefs. You agree your belief is not a sincere religious or conscientious objection. After considering available facts, the Department finds that you do not meet the legal requirements for payment of benefits.

B. Religious Belief Not Primary Reason For Quit

You quit your last job with (employer name) because of your religious or conscientious beliefs. You would have continued working, however, if other personal reasons had not caused the quit. After considering available information, the Department finds that you do not meet the legal requirements for payment of benefits.

II. ELIGIBLE

AA. Sincerely Held Religious Belief

The claimant quit your employment because of beliefs that are sincerely held and religious or conscientious in nature. Available information shows that the claimant had good cause for leaving work.
