Federal Lower Living Standard Income Level and Poverty Guidelines
Updated: August 20, 2024
The federal Lower Living Standard Income Level (LLSIL) and Poverty Guidelines help Local Workforce Development Areas (Local Area) determine low-income status and self-sufficiency criteria as mandated by Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Key details:
- These guidelines are updated yearly by the US Department of Labor and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
- The current LLSIL and Poverty Guidelines for California are shown in the tables below.
