CERF Economic Development Pilot Project PY 22-23 – Updated Guidelines
Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN22-23
Issued: December 16, 2022
The Employment Development Department (EDD) in collaboration with the Labor and Workforce Development Agency, the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR), and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development sought public comment regarding the Economic Diversification Pilot Projects Framework as part of the Community Economic Resilience Fund Program (CERF). The EDD and CERF Leadership Team are working to incorporate feedback into the guidelines. While this work is still in progress, there are several noteworthy updates to the guidelines:
- Modifying the program name to better align with goals. The Pilot will now be called “Economic Development” instead of “Economic Diversification.”
- Extending the application timeline. The SFP period will be open for five weeks, instead of four weeks.
- Removing High Road Transition Collaborative (HRTC) (Convener) letters of support. Letters of support from HTRCs will not be required or incentivized due to the HRTC project timelines.
The EDD and CERF Leadership Team appreciate stakeholder participation in the listening sessions and written public comment.
