Cancelation of California Workforce Practitioner’s Training and Education Conference

To protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, the Employment Development Department (EDD) has cancelled the California Workforce Practitioner’s Training and Education Conference (CA WorkTEC). This decision was made in accordance with the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) March 11, 2020 Gatherings Guidance on Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

While no future dates are reserved, our hope is to reschedule CA WorkTEC for later this year. In addition, the Workforce Services Branch Statewide Training Unit will review the topics that were scheduled to be presented during WorkTEC to determine if any of the presentations can be delivered virtually. We will notify the workforce community as information becomes available.

EVENT REGISTRATION

Individuals who registered for the event do not need to cancel registration via Eventbrite. Cancellation for the event will occur automatically.

HOTEL ROOM RESERVATIONS

Hotel room reservations that were made with the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown – Arena room block will be automatically cancelled. If you would like to confirm that the reservation has been cancelled, you may call the hotel directly at 1-916-446-0100. Reservations made with other hotels in the area should be cancelled directly through those hotels.
