The Employment and Training Administration (ETA), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), announces the availability of an estimated $40 million in grant funds authorized by the Section 169(c) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for Round 4 of the Workforce Pathways for Youth grant program.

Purpose of the Grant

Under this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), ETA plans to award funds to up to 14 national out-of-school time (OST) grantees, split evenly across the two rounds, for grant awards of up to $3.3 million each that serve historically underserved and marginalized youth ages 14-to-21. This grant program will help establish lasting connections and partnerships between existing OST programs, schools, and other state and local workforce partners to introduce underserved youth to career-related services, supporting and preparing them for entering the workforce and a pathway to quality jobs.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funds under this grant program, the applicant must be a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), other than institutions of higher education. The applicant must be a national OST non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization, that proposes to serve youth that have been historically underserved and marginalized.

Funding Details

This FOA does not require cost sharing or matching funds from applicants. The period of performance will be 36 months and is expected to begin September 1, 2024.

Application Deadline

Applications for Round 4 must be submitted by July 15, 2024, and applications for Round 5 must be submitted by December 3, 2024.
