Top In-Demand Middle-Skill Occupations

While low-skill occupations may have a higher volume of opportunities, they typically represent entry-level, low-paying, and high-turnover jobs. So instead, the State’s workforce development system is focused on preparing job seekers for middle-skilled occupations as they represent the greatest opportunity for job seekers to find good-paying and secure jobs. These middle-skilled occupations usually demand higher levels of skills that State educational and job training programs can provide - benefitting the employer, the job seeker, and the state’s overall economy.
