Welcome to Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA), where your success is our priority. If you are currently receiving unemployment benefits and received a RESEA Appointment Notice, the information below is for you.

Guiding You Towards Employment Success

RESEA connects people receiving unemployment benefits with career resources to help them find their next job. You were selected because you may benefit from working with one of our career coaches.

Our reemployment services open doors to many valuable workforce programs, increasing your employment opportunities. We will provide you with various employment and training services, including:

  • Career counseling.
  • Reemployment planning.
  • Current labor market information for your industry.

Starting Your Employment Journey

The RESEA Appointment Notice includes your appointment information and next steps. Want some help? Contact the job center listed on your appointment notice. We are here to guide you through every step of the way.

RESEA appointments are usually virtual and use video conferencing tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. We will contact you by phone and send you an email with a link to your virtual appointment with instructions. You can schedule an in-person appointment or reschedule your appointment within the same week by calling the job center phone number listed on your appointment notice.

Before Your Appointment

The following actions are required:

  • Watch the RESEA orientation video below, which will provide you with valuable information to start your journey.
  • Log in to CalJOBSSM using your existing account. If you do not have an existing account, reference your appointment notice for instructions.
  • Add or update your résumé in CalJOBS.
  • Complete the RESEA Questionnaire (PDF). Include your job search efforts for the two weeks before your appointment.

During Your Appointment

  • Discuss your work search efforts and share your progress and experiences while searching for employment.
  • Learn about reemployment services that meet your specific needs.
  • Receive job market information related to your career.
  • Discover resources and tools for a more effective work search.
  • Explore reemployment and training services that support your job search or career change.

After Your Appointment

  • Attend a required reemployment activity, which could be a workshop or appointment with our Workforce Services team.
  • Continue searching for jobs related to your goals.
  • Get support and contact us. We’re here to help you, every step of the way.
